Brubaker JXB-5

Brubaker JXB-5. This one is a beast... finesse instrument that hits hard. Like my other Brubakers.

Specs: Ash body, Spalted Maple top with red burst gloss finish, Maple neck, Maple board. Exposed binding. Removable ramp. Bartolini single coils, Bartolini NTMB preamp with active passive on volume control and two mid centers. Hipshot black & gold hardware, Dunlop straplocks. 34" scale, 22 fret, 19mm, I'd guess the weight is around 10 lb. (I don't have a scale) Brubaker hardshell case. Lightly used, very good condition. I play my JXB-6 (and sixes in general) more otherwise I'd keep it. $3450 shipped in lower 48. Around $5700 new street price. Not really looking for trades unless it's something really, really interesting and out of the norm. I'm fairly well (over)stocked with killer instruments

That is really sweet. A Brubaker may be next on my gas list.

Wow!!

A bump for pure Brubaker goodness. Absolutely stunning! Kevin is the master in getting the most beauty possible out of a few pieces of wood. And they sound great too.

Even the jazz bass "copy" is superior to all others. Bump for Brad and this cool bass.

On ebay. Got an opening bid with 3 days left. Someone is going to end up with a killer bass.

Jesus. I'm bein' serious here. How in the hell does K. Brubaker get all the exotic woods for his tops? You just don't see other builders using wood with figuring like that. Did he sell his soul to the devil? That's really nice, man.

He's got a great eye for wood but it's his finish work that puts him over the top IMO. I have a $50 Myrtlewood top that I purchased from Oregon Wildwoods on my green JXB-6, his finish work is what made it pop. Even better, over on the Brubaker Facebook group there's a great looking "Koa" bass that isn't Koa. He is without peer in the paint booth.

The bass sold locally today but outside of the 12 hour window to cancel the auction. I did note from the beginning in the auction that the bass was also for sale locally. I didn't find out about the twelve hour window policy until it had passed.

Ebay says I can't revise the auction to let people know that the bass is no longer available and will have to let it end and contact the winning bidder. If anyone here is bidding on the bass, it's already sold. Sorry.

You will need to do a mutual agreement after it ends to cancel the transaction. The winning bidder just has to accept the mutual agreement and then Ebay credits you back all the final value fees.
