BRUCE JOHNSON SHORT SCALE AMPEG SSB ONE OF FIVE MADE

Sign in to disble this ad
Damn Economy. Someone's going to be very lucky. Selling my Bruce Johnson Short Scale SSB. It is of course Bruce's recreation of the Ampeg SSB. It is the fifth one of the five that he made. Serial # 005 completed 9/07/2001. It has two jacks. The second is direct from the pickup bypassing the preamp. There are a few small nicks and scratches but overall in great condition. the neck is straight with low action. Currently wearing flats which Bruce said it was designed for. It sounds great. This bass was also designed to work with 34" scale strings. I thought this would for sure be a lifer but I'm down to three basses and I can't part with my Greco TBII or my short scale Decade. Price is $1300.00 shipped Con US only. Payment by US postal MO or Bank Check. Will ship in a brand new basic gig bag and be very well packed.

Awesomely bizarre looking bass! I've never seen one of these or the bass which inspired it. I love it!
