I am selling my 5-string Carruthers' bass that I purchased new in January 1999. I had purchased this bass in order to install a midi-pickup system and to use it as my bass synthesizer.
Unfortunately, I do not know too much about this bass and it has been stored in my closet for the past 10+ years. I took out the Yamaha B1D midi-pickup; thus, you can see the two mounting holes right above the bridge.
It has EMG pickups and a Gotoh bridge. The 4 knobs are one piece (as opposed to the dual type knobs shown on the Carruthers' website).
There is one small ding (size of a pencil tip) on the front of the body by the neck area. The back of the bass has several very faint surface scratches.
I am guessing that the bass weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. (used my bathroom scale).
The bass will ship with a Fender hardshell case.
