Went locally!
Here's a cool 5 string fretless that I really dig but I just don't give this the action it deserves so I thought I'd put it up and see what offers I get. It's in good condition but being natural wood all over, neck included, it has small dings on it that you don't really notice unless you're looking for them or the light hits it right.
The action is low, playability is great, and the bass sounds phenomenal in the mix. In passive mode, it currently sounds a lot like a Fender J fretless. It also cops a very convincing P on the neck pickup for a blues/rock scenario. Active is a very slight volume boost with a tiny bit fuller or less "vintage" tone. I'm really digging what the bass has in it after my last jam.
Controls are Vol / Blend and Bass / Treble / Lo Mid. It's a mid control but it's more of an oomph low mid boost, hence why I described it as such.
Comes shipped in the stock Carvin fitted HSC with uninstalled J Worrel humbucking J5 neo pickups I had made specifically for this bass.
