Carvin LB76 (Six String) - FINAL PRICE DROP

Sign in to disble this ad
This bass is in great shape - one minor scuff on the headstock, no other marks or dings. Truss rod and electronics work perfectly, no issues.

It has a couple of great looking upgrades: abalone block inlays, black hardware. Other upgrades include the the rounded body sides and humbucking bridge pickup.

Sounds as good as it looks, the bridge pickup can be split to single coil, and the whole active pre can be bypassed for an amazing range of usable tones.

34" scale, and a very playable 6. Neck is nice and thin front to back. Comes with Carvin HSC.

Looks like a 2001 according to this catalog in the Carvin Museum.

Overall a killer instrument that'd cost over $1200 new from Carvin.

For you? NEW PRICE: Now only $600+ Shipping CONUS. Could use the cash on this one, but feel free to run trade offers by me. I would love a P bass.

Thanks for looking:

It's the tried and true maple neck thru an alder body, with an ebony fingerboard.

Thanks for asking!

Bumpage for what I can vouch is a nice bass. I have an XB76 (35") with the identical pickups and controls and its been the first string starter for a while now gig-wise.

Thanks!

Thanks for the bump - it's a killer bass, I'd actully love a 4 or 5 string version of it someday, but I have nothing going on right now that needs a six.

How's the action? I'm in the market for a low priced sixer myself, but really low action is essential for me (I do a lot of tapping).

Regardless, here's a bump for a sexy bass.

Graeme

EDIT: Is it neck-through? Does it have a gloss neck finish?

Thanks for the bump Bassgod:

It is neck thru and the neck has a gloss (it's not natural) finish. I don't have the tools to measure action to 64ths of an inch, but I can tell you this: this bass made a believer out of me, graphite reinforcement is the best thing in the world for basses with more than 4 strings. The neck is totally straight, the action is very low, and the frets are straight and perfect. With the strings thru the body this bass plays can be set up to play very softly, with a light touch. PM me if you would like me to take particular photos, I really don't know how to quantify action.

Thanks for your interest:
Pete

Please do. I'm sure I'll have some for you as well, about sending a bass into Canada. Never done it. . .

Quite a few years back I sold this things 5 string brother, a nearly identical LB75... I still regret parting with it, but I needed the cash.
