Questions:

1) Ash Neck??? or do you mean Maple (Can you post a picture of the back of the neck)
2) What type of finish is on the back of the neck?
3) What type of top do you have on the bass looks like tiger maple?
4) Is 9 lbs the exact weight seems light for a 5000 ash (maybe a 5001 ash)?
5) What are your volume controls (V/V/T/T/B Boost /Cut)?
6) Can you post photos of the back of the bass body too?
7) Are you the original owner and why are you selling?

Bump for a great friend and super awesome bass... I've personally played this one and it's up there in all categories.

The pickups are extra wound per his request, eventhough it's not listed as an option on the site, he ordered it in person and was able to make that request.... As far as I know.

To Kraig007:
Just to help answer some questions....
The finish on the back of the neck is satin... And I do believe the neck is maple, not ash (as far as I remember). The top should be flamed maple... Does Carvin have the option for tiger maple? And the OP is a fellow Coppolo man, so that may have some part of the reason for selling... This is totally just my opinion. But for the price and value, these are hard to beat.

Dang that's pretty. I want to see the ash neck too! I didn't know that was an option.

Not to mention that the price is a bit steep (new is only $100 more...)

The only reason it seems that way is because my friend is simply a player and he's not quite as techy as some of us... This is why I feel the need to chime in... Check his feedback and at least on that end it should clear things up.

I believe he listed the ash neck by mistake.

It's actually about $180 more, plus tax (for us in CA) and shipping and no wait.

No sales pitch here... Just trying to help a friend clear up some misunderstanding.

Sorry for the mistake its honey burst instead of a cherry.
its a maple neck. Back of the neck is satin and yes its a SB5000 bathroom scale says 9.4 you're right on the controls. I am the original owner and reason for selling is to thin the herd.
thanks for looking.

Thumbs up

Beautiful SB5000!

Very classy looking!

If I hadn't already place an order for one a couple weeks ago I'd be tempted to go for this one! I'd actually still be tempted if it had an alder body!

Free bump!

Does the pearloid PG have a slight pink hue to it, or is that just the lighting?

Nice bass!

It's looks pink on my computer monitor also.... I thought it was either my "old man" eyes or laptop monitor... I asked and Ed confirmed that it was "White Pearloid"..... Glad it wasn't just me...
