Very nice Carvin SB5000 with a killer birds eye maple fingerboard. This bass will easily go head to head with basses costing twice as much, a whole lot of bass for the money.
Very good shape, just some fingernail scratches on the pickguard and a pin-prick ding on the top horn on the side of the body. I don't believe these are the single coil pickups though I could be wrong. Vol, blend, tone and stacked bass/treble. Pull up the tone knob for passive and the tone control is still effective. Thru-body stringing. Weight is 9.5lbs which is very reasonable for one of these. Comes with a Carvin C&G hardcase.
Asking $750 shipped in the CONUS.
Pics here.

All I can offer up will be the carvin and an ATK as I stupidly sold everything off 6-months ago in a fit of being tired of gigging and dealing with female singer drama, but this and the ATK will make very nice compliments to each other. And I've come to grips that my enjoyment of playing is worth more than the frustration others can sometime bring to playing with others. |

#1. I shouldn't post a for sale ad just before leaving for a gig.
#2. I should put my prices up some! My Ken Lawrence sold in 5 minutes and this wasn't far behind. Maybe the economy is picking up some.
Sorry for any frustration caused by my lack of responses last night. I've sent payment info to first in line and will let everyone that's showed interest know the status later on.
At the moment it's on hold pending payment. Thanks for all the interest.

(And a big thumbs up to Jim being a man of honor and sticking with first come first serve regardless of offers of more money being tossed at him.)
Can't wait to rip out the frets and take a belt sander to it.
( sarcasm )

. | Just letting you know, I played by the rules. I was only interested if it was ash anyway as I have a killer alder maple combo bass. The SB5000s rock. I have never been more impressed with a $1000 bass....ever.
You will love the bass. I just order my second SB5000. It is Alder with rosewood. If it is anything close to the one I have, I will be in bass heaven.

Intent is to give credit to another stand up TB guy who put something up for sale at a price he was comfortable with, and stood by it.
Which is what I love about this community, and these actions by guys like Jim influence me to always also "do the right thing" because people have 'done me right."
My comments were nothing more than that.

. | You got it. I didn't take it personally. I too love the fact that most of the members here are stand up guys.
You will love the bass. Once you receive it please join our discussion on the SB5000 and SB4000. |
