Up for sale is Carvin SB 5000 5 string bass.
The bass was built early 2012
has a 34" scale, weighs around 9.5 lbs and has a 19mm (3/4") string spacing at bridge.
Alder body with black finish
Birdseye maple fretboard
has the vol,vol, mid boost/cut concentric knob, bass/treble concentric knob preamp configuration.
Great tones are available with just the slightest turn of the knobs.
Dunlops straplocks installed
Chrome hardware
comes with a Carvin Gigbag , which is in great shape.

How did you manage to get Carvin to build you one with 19mm spacing? I tried and got turned down. I haven't checked lately but at the time, their website had this spec wrong. That's the only reason I sent it back. I even asked them to make me one with a hipshot bridge and got rejected.

SB series and the B40/50 series have always had 19mm spacing. The B4/5, which they have stopped making, had 17mm spacing.

That's what the specs say, but not quite 19mm spacing. Even a very well known endorsee and promoter of the SB basses admitted that to me after I brought it to his attention. He said the sight was wrong with their info. Having always leaned towards 19mm spacing, I noticed immediately. Again, that was the ONLY reason I sent it back.
