OK, I need the money more than the bass, so I have decided to knock this one down to:
$2000 INCLUDING A HARD CASE AND SHIPPING TO THE US (OR MOST EU COUNTRIES)
This is a great bass - period! It's one of the first Celinder Update models, I think it's from the late 90's, but it still plays and sounds amazing! If any, these basses give you the amazing late 70's jazz punch. Once you start slapping on this bass, it will take hours to put it back down. Trust me, it has happened to me so many times :-)
It has been used, and therefore the cosmetical condition is not perfect, it has some dings in the finish. It has been hard to capture them in the pics, though. But you should know that they are there. I plays, sounds and feels absolutely great, though! Wear is ONLY cosmetical (dare I say 'slightly, naturally reliced?'...:-)
It also has a drop-D tuner for going really low, and even though I don't have a super accurate digital scale, I would estimate that this bass is around 9 - 10 lbs. It doesn't feel particularly heavy. Specs are: ash/maple, jazz neck and body, pickups in 70's location.
Sound says it best. Here are a few clips.
1)
Fingerstyle: both pups full, preamp slightly boosted (bass/treble), played over the neck pup.
2)
Slap: same as above only an additional treble boost (old strings, you know...)
I will ship it with the national Danish post service, and I will pack it up VERY good with bubble wrap inside the case and put the hard case inside a solid card board box stuffed with newspapers, etc.
The only trades I would consider are:
- Celinder J-Update 5 (fretless)
- Celinder P/J 5
- Sadowsky Metro MV5-PJ
