Hey guys up for sale today is a brand new Certainbass straight out of the shop. I had this ordered when I was in a Led Zeppelin tribute band. I wanted John Paul Jones 70's fretless P-Bass (which he used in my time of dying) but when it finally arrived that band is no longer together, so here is your chance at a great fender clone with out the fender price.
The bass was built and constructed by Dave Certain. You can look him up at Cetainbass.com. The body is standard alder, It has open gear tuning machines and single grove saddles. Standard pickups and CTS potentiometers with cloth wiring. The neck is from LA Custom Shop. It is a super slim jazz neck. Very comparable to Geddy Lee RI Basses. The entire bass was treated in poly.
The bass plays extremely well, the action is low and play ability is very fast. The neck is super smooth and buttery. The bass has sustain for days and is Similar to a upright bass sustain. Bass is very warm sounding and has great thunderous P-Bass tone.
Again bass just arrived Tuesday (march 27) so it's brand new. It comes with a brand new tweed case.
Trades? I am looking for a Vintage Fender Musicmaster/Mustang bass, Stienberger copy bass, or Rickenbacker plus cash on my end or your end depending on condition of your bass. Other than that I sell for $800 shipped and insured UPS Ground or best offer.
If you have any questions, just ask. If you need pictures of a certain area just ask.

While that Musicmaster is definitely a phenomenal little player, (one of the best I have played), it is thirty three years old and has some marks of a life lived (don't we all!!)... Usual scuffing, couple of dings and all... Mojo, if you will... Nothing that affects functionality...
While I do love it and am sentimentally attached, I don't believe that it would command the $800 asking price that you originally posted... As I said, if I had ready cash, I'd buy your bass outright, but at this point I'm cash poor and could only go straight... If you're still interested, PM me...

| | | | Hey Guys,
You'll be happy with a David Certain Bass... He made me a fretless Jazz (I supplied the neck) about two years ago, and he did a great job, plus he's easy to deal with if you ever have any questions that you need answered.
That maple board is beautiful!

Especially for a bass player. Bump for a sweet bass that I should not want for.many reasons, but still do.

I've never played any of his basses, even being being in St Louis as well.
That is the spitting image of the fretless Ive had in mind though, but I can't spend my fearful cab money.
