Conklin fretless - 4 (figured purple heart)

I've had some reservations selling this bass. It was my first fretless and a great bass to learn the art of fretless playing. I bought this from Jake Kot when I was taking lessons from him. I just don't seem to have the time to keep my fretless skills up so this bass just sits. And I have a bunch of bills to catch up on.

This is obviously a very unique bass to say the least.
-Purple heart facings on a swamp ash body.
-Flamed maple neck with purple heart stringers (5-piece). 2 octave and very slender.
-Ebony fingerboard w/lines and position dot on up side of neck.
-As far as I know..custom wound Bartolini pickups with, I'm thinking NTBT preamp wired for active/passive.
-Ultra light, satin hardware.
-Quilted maple ramp.
-Dunlop Straplocks.

I will try and get photos of some of the wear. And as you can see there is some shiny areas below the neck pickup. And the pickup cover show wear in the photos.

$1600 (now $1300) shipped and insured in the CONUS, in a decent Levy gig bag. No trades unless you have Pre-EB Stingray that you want to let go of.

Awesome bass. Too bad you are not open to more trade options. Would love to have this.

Trust me if I had a Wal I would have no desire to look at any other basses. Been GASing for a Wal for years. When I get one it will be buried with me one day.

This is still here? You have to be kidding me people. This bass is being given away at that price. My guitarist uses one of their US made 7 string guitars with Lundgren pups and the quality is second to none.

Bump for one of the best bass makers on the planet.

Thank you for the bump Chris!

Fretless basses can be a tough sell unfortunately.

I played the Conklin fretless that was at Bass NW last year (also made for Jake Kot); I still kick myself for not pulling the trigger on that thing. Conklin's custom shop makes some serious instruments.

Bump for a beauty of a fretless!

Can I tempt you with a '78 all original Fender JB? It's in great conditions and it has a nice warm jazzy tone.
