I can't tell you the year but they all were around the turn of the Millenium 1999-2001.
Yes this is an American model. You can tell by the J/MM pickups, 35" scale, Hipshot hardware.
These are great basses that sold for around $1500 new. Don't confuse these with the newer (cheap) import bass called the millennium BXP.
The millennium BXP is a totally different bass. The USA ones are far superior.
Not just because they are made in the US, but also because of the construction,
materials, and electronics. If someone tries to tell you different, they are wrong.

A friend of mine has one of these and they are REALLY nice basses. They are well made and play great. The hardware is Hipshotesque.

This is a great bass at a great price.

I believe that picture to be from an eBay ad for Samuel Music they were trying to sell this bass @ $349.99 on eBay listed it three times and it never sold they said something similar to the effect they were not sure what year it was but it was new just NOS.

Thanks! I couldn't resist. I'm not too thrilled with the color, but any port in a storm.

It actually looks BRAND NEW, after a little clean up treatment...those pictures of the top of the body, were lights reflecting in the paint, there WASN'T a mark on it....UNTIL UPS got their hands on it!

It arrived and the box was CRUSHED, the entire 1/3 was really bashed in. UPS dropped it and RAN. It took a minor hit to the headstock. THANKFULLY it was packed well, it could have been MUCH WORSE. I was so ticked, it was otherwise perfect.
