Custom Clement #202 Mahogany w/ Ebony FB

SOLD

I bought this bass brand new on ebay last August from the builder, Tom Clement. It is a great bass, but I really wanted a 5er that I could wear for long practices, so I asked Tom to build me one and it fills all my fretted needs. So now this awesome bass needs a home.

Here is the blurb about #202 from his website:

"19-34-4 Kim Mahogany body with oil finish Nordstrand 70's wind jazz pickups 8.5 lbs"

The "Kim" style is Tom's take on the J bass. The only change I made was to install Delano JC 4 HE/M2 pups. The singles sounded huge and awesome, but I am really sensitive to buzz so I put in the humbuckers. I asked Brian Ristola at Best Bass Gear to recommend humbuckers that sounded the most like singles and he recommended these. I think they sound great.

Pics - Also from Tom's website.

I am selling for $950 shipped CONUS.

Cheers,
Mike

Agreed. I believe you used the word "wooly" to describe the tone of the lower notes, and I think that pretty much nails it.

I am sure he will. Honestly I wish I could keep it, but it hasn't been played since I got #215, and it is too nice to just sit around as a backup.

Thanks. I do wish I could keep it. I just love the look of the oiled mahogany, and it sounds great.

The sale is going well, and I think the new owner is really excited about it.
