FOR SALE:
A beautiful custom Fender parts bass build comprised of parts bought from TalkBass members, Best Bass Gear, Warmoth, and evilBay. I put this bass together and it sounds amazing, Bass weighs 10.2 lbs on bathtoom scale, but with the lightweight Warmoth neck and Hipshot Ultralite Tuners there's no neck dive. Bass plays like a dream and the Delano / John East combo really shines with lots of tonal variations. Has a beautiful Warmoth Jazz neck with Pau Ferro fingerboard, 6105 frets, Fender Waterslide Decal under 3 coats of nitro. Body is a soft maple Vintage Modifed Squier/Fender.
FULL DISCLOSURE:
Bass parts were bought some new and some used so there are light & normal signs of wear but nothing major. Rear of neck has a couple of slight indentations from leaning against amp cab. I bought it this way from another TB member. Also one very light scratch on fretboard between 3rd and 5th fret (See pics for reference). Only other notable thing is the Active/Passive selector switch on the John East has a scratching sound at times when switch flipped but not while playing. I'm not an electrical guy but assume it's ground. Never bothered me and doesn't affect playability. Neck has a Fender waterslide decal under 3 coats of Nitro finish which is starting to take on a nice amber hue. Finish work was done by previous owner. It's not perfect but does look really nice. Warmoth pickguard slightly tight against John East preamp and has slight indentation but hardly noticable. Underneath pickguard I dowelled and sanded the original pickguard holes and redrilled for proper fit of the Warmoth pickguard. Not noticable unless pickguard removed. I used hardwood dowel and glue. Could use a good setup and intonantion. The things listed above are done so in the spirit of full disclosure and not all used basses are "perfect". Bag End cabinet in several of the pictures is NOT for sale.
