ESH Germany Jazz Bass 4 - Black & Tan - Rare in the US
Here is a rare one, in fact, I have only seen one. I contacted ESH about this one and he said they have no info on it because of new ownership. Esh basses were made in Germany (think Celinder) . The company got a great write up in Bass Player mag (Mar 2001, 4.5/5 for sound), but sadly, the company went under (has since reopened but makes completely different basses now) . This Jazz is a Celinder/Sadowsky inspired joint.
Black custom pickguard on Piano black finished body, all black hardware (super cool ABM bridge, Hipshot UL tuners), Ken Armstrong single coil J pickups (Armstrong make Celinders pickups) and Kent Armstrong made, Esh 2-Band preamp/EQ.
The bass is in excellent condition with just some fine scratches, which isn't uncommon on black basses.
