Custom Iceman Bass

Basically it's a Warmoth body, USAG neck.

More info on the build can be found in this thread:

I had to do it!! (Iceman Content)

It plays beautifully, nice low action. I'm still having some minor issues with the stacked pots but everything is there and SHOULD be working fine. It's weights under 8lbs and feels great on the strap. The P pickup is a Fralin, the J pup is a Basslines. The tuners are Hipshot Ultralights and the bridge is a Gotoh, all new including the straplock buttons. The strings are brand new but I can't remember what they are It has MAYBE a few hours total playing time. I'm just way to busy these days to have fun with it.

I'd like $475 for it via paypal, shipped within the USA. No case or gig bag but I will pack it BOMB PROOF

Now there's something you don't see everyday. I've never seen an Iceman without a coat of paint on it.
That's quite a bargain for the right individual

It's a really cool bass and I'm just looking to get back what I have in it. I spent a lot of time putting it together and the neck joint is ROCK solid. Someone that can figure out the wiring should have no problem. Everything is there and brand new. It plays, it's just that the controls are sort of wonky I have 6 basses on my office wall and everyone who walks in is drawn to this one.

now that is the best looking Iceman I've seen. I dig the look of the headstock with that body shape.

What exactly is wrong with the electronics? How does this thing balance? Where are the strap buttons? (sorry if the last is a dumb one, but i don't see them!)

The controls don't seem to have the proper amount of "throw". The volume on one control and the tone on the other. The pickups worked perfectly when tested so it's definately something with the wiring or the stacked pots. Again, they are all brand new from Bass Parts Resource. Its' very light so balance isn't really an issue, it's not neck divey.

Here's a pic of my sons friend trying it out. Johnny is about 6'4 and makes the bass look tiny!! You can see the front strap lock, the rear is just under the point at the bottom of the body.

I'm really fighting the urge on this one. Really cool bass and I just picked up a recent interest in Icemans... I'd probably get it refinned though as I'm not a big natural fan! Ugh... if my hondo sells maybe we can start talking

PS how are you affiliated with the link in your sig? I'm a big SOG fan but the knives on that site are killer!

The blog is mine for my custom knives. The Custom Knives and Guns forum is something myself and 4 other knifemakers started a few years ago. It's where we promote our work and interact with customers, etc.

Shoot me an offer on the bass. I need some Paypal funds ASAP as I need to go to the dentist
