Custom Vintage Style Jazz Bass

SOLD

Custom Vintage Style Jazz Bass

This bass was custom built by Nashville luthier Tony Nagy.
Not simply a "parts" bass , it has a 3 pc. maple/rosewood neck and alder body. Finished in nitrocellulose Lake Placid Blue and reliced for a vintage look. It has Lindy Fralin split coil Jazz Bass pickups (noiseless), a vintage-style Fender bridge, Fender Ultralite tuners, pickup cover. 9.2 lbs (There is an additional jack plate if you should decide to add a preamp – I currently have the hole covered with a small rubber disc.) Comes with a new Fender hard case.

This is a great sounding, playing and looking bass! Classic Jazz Bass tone. Excellent quality -- on a par with Nash, Bluesman or other vintage type recreations.

$795 shipped in the CONUS

$695 w/case shipped!

It's hard to tell from the photos, but has the hardware been reliced as well?

Does the strap peg on the back of the head serve a purpose?

"In 1960, Fender added the strap button to the back of the Jazz and Precision headstocks. (Traditional players used this button to help strap the bass vertically, allowing them to play as they were accustomed in their transition from doghouse to electric bass.) By 1969, the button dissappeared, creating yet another Fender mystery"
