Dean 5-string $250 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
$250 OBO

Not sure about the model on this one, but it's the typical good bang for your buck you'll find with Dean. What I do know:

35" scale
Maple neck with stringers (wenge? walnut? rosewood?)
EMG-HZ pickups
Vol/Vol/Tone
Very good condition, with some light marking here and there
Missing the strap button on the upperhorn
Surprisingly good tone
Made in Korea

If it's still here next week I'll take it.

I'm not actually sure what happened. This bass was given to me by my singer. I'm also not sure on the model or year. I looked around at some pics of Deans, but was never able to find this exact one. I do recall seeing a Dean that looked a lot like it in the mid 90s at Manny's on 48th st, but that's about as much as I know.

Probably should note that the whole for the missing button doesn't appear stripped/enlarged, and the old toothpick trick should work. I just don't have an extra button!

Is there anything else wrong with the bass, and do you have something to ship it in?
I am very interested.

Nothing wrong with the bass. I played with it for a bit to ensure that. Knobs and pots are fine. Truss rod turns and adjusts relief. Frets are good.

I'm shipping it in a Spector box (the trapezoid shaped kind basses are shipped to stores in) with packing material around it inside a full sized bass box.
