Dingwall ABII Afterburner Newest design LIKE NEW

If you follow TB, you know that I haven't had this bass very long at all. But, we all know that things flip quick on TB for lots of different reasons. So, my loss is your gain. This is an opportunity to land a latest generation ABII for significantly less money than new. Further, this new style is rare to pop up used, so jump on it if you are interested.

As much as I love this bass, I have to decide between it and some other recent acquisitions. This bass may indeed win out and stay put. But, I am also going to allow the market to dictate the decision to some degree. If I find I buyer for this bass, this will settle itself!! I am listing it first because I know it the best. If I start leaning in another direction, I'll can always pull it and list something else.

Tonally, I am very much in love with the ABII. This bass has a really cutting, middy bite in series mode that I LOVE in the mix. No bass I have ever heard has anything on this one in terms of "cutting" through the mix.

Of course, the B string on this bass is the BEST, period. I have owned a lot of basses known for killer Bs. This is THE BEST. It sounds EXACTLY like the other strings. I am giving up something with the B, for certain, in choosing ANY other bass.

And so the details:
  • Dingwall Afterburner II AB-II 5 string
  • Walnut body
  • Upgraded graphite reinforced walnut neck
  • Wenge FB
  • Black HW
  • 18V Glockenklang 2-band preamp with active/passive control and passive treble cut. (KILLER PRE!)
  • 4-way rotary pickup selecto.
  • Burled-spalt top. Described by Sheldon Dingwall himself as a "very rare piece. " It looks amazing.

Any other questions about the specs can be researched at http://www.dingwallguitars.com

The bass is absolutely LIKE NEW. I bought it new from a dealer only couple of months ago. It's only been gigged two or three times. The purchase includes the also like-new Dingwall Gigbag or a new generic HSC. Your choice. All case candy is included. This is essentially a new bass buying experience for far less money.

Concerning trades: I have extended myself as far as I possibly can with basses. I've bought two Sadowskys in the last week!!! I can not accept trades under any terms. I understand that I will still get trade offers as it is the nature of TB. So, please forgive me in advance if I do not reply to them. As many basses as I have bought and sold, I have never been as "on-the-fence" as I am about this one. If there is no cash buyer, I'll just sell something else.

U.S. Bidders only. Paypal please. eChecks are great. Shipped fully insured for $2,950. I can even provide the original bill of sale. (Which is quite a bit more than that!)

Please do not hesitate to PM me if you have any questions. I check TB far too regularly. So, I'll get back to you quickly.
I used this bass in studio a few weeks ago with exceptional results. If I get any scratch tracks back before it sells, I will post them.

Beautiful - I have a very similar AB II and it kills! I have a feeling you may want to reconsider - about a year ago I was in a similar situation and had to choose between a Sadowsky and an AB-II - I sold the AB-II and immediately regretted it. I ended up selling the Sadowsky a couple of months later and picking up the AB-II I'm using now, but lost a lot of money in the process.
