DINGWALL SUPER J5 FEELER

WOW! I think I have lost my mind...but I reserve the right to gain it back!

Super clean SJ5 natural ash/maple with killer baltic amber picguard!

Bass plays like a dream and the Glock pre is so musical and transparent at the same time. The neck is pure sex-so fast! Action is super low without a buzz to be heard. The level of craftmanship and attention to detail is really off the charts. I would estimate the weight to be ~ 9lbs (feels great and for sure not heavy!) The bass is a newer SJ so it's routed for the P pu also. I really wish I could try that out!!!

Brand new set of TI Jazz flats ($100) is what she is currently sporting, but I will also include a new set of Sadowsky Nickels. I'm only using TI's on all my basses and they work really well on the SJ, but the Sadowskys are something speacial too!

I bought this bass new from Atlanta Bass Gallery about a year and a half ago. It comes with the Dingwall bag, tools, a black pickguard, white pickguard, and I believe I still have the bill of sale.

Any more info can be had here: (there are also pics of the bass on Sheldon's site)

Super J Standard | Dingwall Guitars

I'm really looking for a late 60's jazz (w/cash coming from me)
Maybe a pre eb stingray could tempt me...
Alleva jazz (w/ cash coming from me)
Dingwall SJ4
Other Jazz 4's
I would sell outright for $2600

Let me know if you have any questions

On to the pics:

I don't want to waste your time. I just wanted to say that is exactly the wood, pick guard and inlay combination I have been dreaming about if I ever got a SJ5. I even did a Photoshop mock up before I eventually found a picture of the actual item.

Unfortunately, I can't afford another Dingwall at the moment and I have my sight set on a Z3.

Another bump.

How did you get a set of TI Flats that work with that fanned fretboard?

TI's seem to work great w/ the Dingy! They do have a bit of a lower tension as flats go, but I'm really enjoying them at the moment. You can check out the Dingwall forum where they have a bunch of threads on strings that people are using w/ good & not so good results.

Lots of interest on this one-PM's are being responded in the order they come in...

Dingwall SJ5 is 35 scale that's why the TI worked..

Damn it! I'm heading on the ships tomorrow and this was the exact bass I was going to order when I got back. I think you should hold it for me for 4 months!

I'm serious, hold it for me please!

Hey I've got a Mike Lull 4

Hey!

I've got a Mike Lull 4 string Jazz that was custom built.

Alder Rosewood Body - Chambered.

Super light.

Bartolini pre amp.

Lindey Fralin Hum-cancelling pickups.

Might make for an interesting trade.

Thoughts?
