Don't know why I'm doing this: Ben Lindsey Jazz Feeler

I got a really nice Ben Lindsey Jazz bass. It has EMG pickups and a preamp. The preamp is stack knob set up and its volume/high end volume/low end. I'm not sure of the exact function of the lower halves of the knobs but they sound fantastic. I believe its the BTC preamp. The tones on it are very useful and its hard to get a bad sound of it. And believe me! I've tried!

I've owned a lot of Jazzes, and just basses in general, and this one is awesome. I love the neck on this thing. The closest I could compare it to is my old P-bass that had a 61 Jazz neck on it. The neck has an ebony board and I'm not sure of the inlay material. I believe its MOP or abalone. Its modeled after a 66 Jazz bass apparently, yet it doesn't have binding, inlays, or lollipop tuners.

Hand checking on the nitro finish. Fender decal professionally applied. Wear marks where you'd rest your arm and some on the tummy contour. Its actually the most realistic relic job I've ever seen and everyone who has used my bass has asked me what year it was.

Recently strung (literally yesterday with about 20 minutes play time on it) DR Sunbeams and set up for low action.

So why am I getting rid of it?

I have no idea! Here are some things that are pushing me...

A) I've a jazz with a P-bass neck that I really like. Its also got a lot of sentimental value to me since my dad bought it for me right before he died.

B) Its tonally similar to my other Jazz and I'm not really a jazz bass guy. This one is more tonally versatile but lacks the previously mentioned sentimental value my other Jazz has.

C) I'm not playing bass in any bands currently and have a lot of bass equipment.

D) I have a very high turn over rate of gear and an incurable case of GAS!

What am I looking for?
A nice electric guitar. Jazzmasters and Teles!

Interesting basses that are different from what I've got now. Decades and hollowbodies are at the top!

Lightweight cabs

Or the ever popular $1250 cash.

Here is a lame looking pic from my last gig playing bass a month ago!

Here are some pictures I took with my iPod. The quality isn't that great but its the best I can do.

Thanks Brett. It really is killer and I like it a lot. Unfortunately I'm not playing very much these days and moving away from bass.

Why I'm getting rid of this I don't know.

Thanks we had a great time playing. Until one of the guitarists passed out from heat stroke.

I'm taking iPhone photos as we speak. Sorry for the lousy quality.

Tentatively off the market. I'll no longer be bumping this thread since I came to my senses. If you happen upon and feel like shooting me an offer on this, you're welcome to!
