Howdy TB. I haven't been playing 5-string in a while and have to lessen the gear, so unfortunately this one has to go. This sounds great and is a super comfortable 5er (only 1 3/4" at the nut with a relatively shallow neck profile).
It was made by respected luthier Doug Roomian of Noe Valley Music in San Francisco in the early to mid 1990s (he's still in business at the same shop). I got this from a fellow TBer. Has only been out of the house a few times to play with friends. Here's the original link with pics and info:

Alder body, maple neck, clean ebony board, brass nut, schaller tuners and adjustable bridge. 34" scale. 1 3/4" at the nut. Weighs around 10 pounds and is very manageable and balanced with solid low B.
I did a LOT of first-class upgrading to the bass with all work done by Michael Dolan in Santa Rosa (he's a great custom builder who used to work for Alembic). He made it into a lined fretless (added maple lines) and replaced all electronics with Delano single coil jazz pups and a Glockenklang 3-band preamp (has push-pull volume/active-passive control, with treble roll-off in passive condition; other knobs are blend, bass, mid and treble). Super clean and articulate and really growls with new-ish D'Addario chrome flats I have on it.

Doug said he'd charge about $2000 if he were to make this today. The bass looks much better than in the pics. The only negative since I got it is a slight ding on the back/top of the headstock (not visible from the front) due to my playing it in a too-small room and hitting the headstock against a metal lamp. There's a pic of this. The rest of the bass is very clean for its age.
Looking for $1150 shipped CONUS, which is significantly less than what I've got into it. Paypal or cash equivalent. Comes with original hard shell case. I'm trying to lessen gear, so I'm not interested in any trades at the moment.
