I bought this in a fit of GAS while I was waiting for a custom Afterburner 2 (special ordered passive). I emailed Dingwall asking what the Z wait time was-I was told about 20 months-but was given an opportunity to buy this blue wonder that had been custom ordered by a European dealer who backed out. Out came the plastic. I love the bass, but I prefer my basses passive, now have 2 other (passive) Dingwalls I love, and don't ever mine the plethora of tones lurking in this beast.
I JUST bled 5700 for it (I have the invoice).
Specs: Stormy Blue Monday over spalted maple, ziracote board (looks to me like the board was cut from the same piece as Tom Bowlus' new Z3) with custom "speedometer" inlays, Glock pre, walnut neck to die for, matched HS, Dingwall gigbag and tools. It has 1 flaw-a 4mm ding on the body edge at the input jack. I had a hard time getting it to show in the pics. Note that although most of my basses have a 3rd recessed straplock receiver in the lower body edge, this one does NOT. The mini-ding is the only flaw.
Sale price is 4500 shipped CAN or CONUS. Over 20% off and without the loooooong wait.

A tweaker's wet dream brought to life.

I doubt it.
I didn't see it on the Dingwall forum this morning, so there may be a chance.
Good luck.

The ding is well shown in the 3rd pic, even though it's a bit blurred-it's right on the ridge next to the output jack. It's about a 4mm oval area delineated by a crack, with the finish in the center still intact.
