Wow, this is even nicer than mine!
I don't know if it's the roasting process, but mine sounds better (to my ears) than other Classic models with standard necks I tried in stores.
This is also, IMO, the closest you can get to a Pre EB. Do I need another one? I'm tempted.

that is a roasted maple board, not almond, although roasted almond sounds tastier to me.
I have owned a Bongo with the roasted maple neck, and it was great player, really comfy finish on the neck. Nice bass and GLWTS.
