I JUST got this from OpaqueBass, but with the shoulder thing...it just can't stay around here.
This bass is in excellent condition. The only real signs of use are some slight scratching behind the lower horn...and that can only really be seen in the right light.
Just to clarify...nothing involving the electronics was modified on this bass. All H/S Stingrays ship with three pickups. The middle pickup is lowered beneath the stock pickguard and utilized as a dummy coil. This just has a custom pickguard - utlizing that pickup.
The only "downside" is that you "lose" the ability to run the neck pickup solo; but you get it right back if you put a regular H/S pickguard on. Easy as pie.
In my opinion, having the bass set up the way it is opens up an incredible amount of tonal variety.
As far as the switch goes, the positions are as follows (from back to front):
1 - Coils 1 & 2 (Humbucker only)
2 - Coils 1 & 3 (60's jazz-ish sound)
3 - All Coils (Really warm/smooth/buttery sounding)
4 - Coils 2 & 4 ( 70's jazz-ish sound)
5 - Coils 3 & 4 (Pretty much a neck humbucker, sounds great for solo'ing)
I might have my 60s and 70s mixed up; but you get the general idea.
Tobacco burst
maple neck and board
Hipshot d-tuner (as well as the original tuner)
3 band preamp
OHSC, and
Schaller straplocks with a cream/kacki colored strap included. (as well as the original strap buttons)
Asking $975 or trade for something lighter. I can add my Zon Sonus 5 to make a trade up to something like a Sadowsky, Roscoe, MTD, etc...

Here's a link to a video of the bass made by Ryan Owens to show how the H/S/S config works...
