EBMM STINGRAY CLASSIC 4, Natural Finish, Mint Condition $1,500
Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray Classic 4. Natural finish, Flame Maple Neck/Fingerboard. OHSC. $1,500.
A Classic like this isn't one you can get from Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc. - they don't stock these. This is a special-order bass. New, it will cost you over $2,100 - there's a premium for the figured ash body and flame maple neck. It's yours for $1,500.
I bought this bass new last year in 2012 from a small boutique retailer. According to the serial #, it was completed in April, 2011. It's got a hard-to-find Flame Maple neck. (Most of the Stingray Classics you'll see out there have Birdseye Maple. The original 70s Stingrays had Flame Maple or non-figured necks, not birdseye...)
It's a great bass. If you're a fan of the old-school Stingray vibe, you know exactly what I mean and will absolutely fall in love with this bass - I did.... It's a tough decision to put it up for sale, but I'm selling it because I'm paring down my instrument & equipment collection in preparation for a move (there is such a thing as too many axes....) Also, I'm mainly playing Jazz Basses these days - despite my screen name of "Stingray Fan"... (Don't worry - I'm still a Stingray Fan...) I've hardly played this bass - it's rarely even left my home.
The body has beautiful wood grain figuring. I can only post 2 pics here, but message me for more.
It weighs only 9.5 lbs, which is light for a Stingray Classic 4; many of these basses weigh 10+ lbs.
Neck is perfect, frets have no wear whatsoever. I currently have it set up with EB Hybrid Slinkys 45-105.
I'm located in Northern New Jersey. Bass is available for local pickup or I'll deliver to you in the NYC Metro area. I'll ship via UPS Ground to the Continental US, with insurance. You pay for shipping.
If you're in Canada or somewhere else in the world, shipping is obviously going to cost more. We can figure it out.
