This bass was custom made by Robert Elrick in about 1998. 36" scale phenolic (graphite) fingerboard, Bartolini active pups and preamps, ABM bridge, maple burl top with swamp ash body, wenge neck w/exotic lams, zero fret, straplocks, neck thru and the original custom hard shell case. weight 10.2lbs. It has some wear & buckle rash but nothing radical and I'll try to show it. This big bass has been on countless recordings and was my main bass for about 13 years. Needless to say the B string is tighter than anything else you can name. You want to talk about big bottom....this is it. I have rather extensive recordings of it which I will post the links to when I get home tonight. You simply won't find another one like this & to have an identical one made would cost you about 5k. $3000 shipped and insured. CONUS.

Here's a link to one of my band's cds where it was used on every song: http://www.stopthetruck.com/canteen/legacy.html |

After a few years the volume knob stripped out so I just replaced them all with what you see. The two larger ones (volume & pickup pan) are for easier adjustment while playing. |

Killer bass, but that looks like a Maple burl top! |

Seriously, that's one of the coolest basses I've ever seen.
