About two months ago, I didn't have a single 5-string, now I have four plus one more on it's way. Too many for me as I still consider myself more of a 4-string guy. Although I wish I could keep them all, it doesn't seem to make sense to me to have this many, so I'm putting a couple up for sale.
This is an Elrick New Jazz Standard with Bartolini single coil pick-ups and a 3-band active preamp with passive/active switch and 3-way mid-range frequency selector. I believe the pre-amp is an Aguilar OB-3 but I have to check. Ash body with a maple neck and a beautiful birdseye maple fretboard. The bass in near mint condition. If you look very closely you might be able to make out a tiny bit of thumb wear so I won't say it's in truly mint condition. The tone is AMAZING. It has the punchiest low-mids I've ever heard. I liked it so much that I picked up an Elrick Evo 5 and since that one has a few light dings and marks on the back, I decided to offer the New Jazz Standard for sale since I hate to even take it out of its case for fear of accidently scratching it. As most Elricks this bass is super light for a 5-string (about 8lbs) and a dream to play.
Asking price is $1750 with the original New Jazz Standard case.
Feel free to ask any questions. I'm also open to interesting trades, particular ones that involve partial cash to me. Also, feel free to PM me your email address for better quality pics.

I have seen these, but I have never played or heard one. Very tempting to buy, but too much of a risk if I hate the tone and feel. I am very picky bass buyer.. any input would be good on this bass.
