Epiphone Zenith bass - $500

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi gang!
Just purchased this a few months ago. And I'd be hanging onto this if I didn't have an opportunity to bring my Clement #63 home! Here are Chubbyjerk's pics:

Epiphone Zenith - a set on Flickr

You'll see that it has some minor cracking of the finish near the edge of the body. It doesn't effect the playability whatsoever. In fact, I was surprised at the excellent build quality of the instrument never having owned an Epiphone before...

Looking for an affordable Rob Allen-like instrument, then this is a pretty good bet.

Comes with a Hardshell case.

$500 + shipping

Is this one fretted or fretless? Can't tell if those are frets or just fretlines in the pics.

Do you have this bass on eBay as well? Looks like exactly the same one.

I have a fretted Zenith with tapewounds. It doesn't do an upright sound, but it does do nice woody, usable sounds.

A lot of fun to play, and they are definitely pretty instruments. If yours was the gray finish, I'd probably go for it, as I'd like to try the fretless.

I do have it up on the 'bay as we speak! Very few things do the upright thing well. And this bass has a wonderfully rich sound— not upright but woody. However, when I do want the upright tone I palm mute and play with my thumb on this bass. This gives me the big tone bloom with the short decay that an upright gives you.

Grey is nice, but natural is tempting....( I'm trying to hypnotize you into buying it—it's not working is it?)
