Ernie Ball Music Man SUB 4 Active 24 hours left

Sign in to disble this ad
EDIT: I am taking it down from sale Monday night (8/13) and keeping it for the time being. So any trades/offers need to be in before then.

Here we go. I had this sold and on the way to meet up with the guy he had an accident and totaled his van. SO here we go again.

This is a Mint bass except for a tiny ding in the headstock which I have photographed. It comes with a Road Runner gig bag with some tearing around the side handle.

These were 800 new w/o gig bag. I want to this to move soon since the sale fell through. 415.00 Local pickup. 425.00 shipped east of Mississippi, 435.00 shipped West. Maybe ship to Canada for 450.00.

I prefer Paypal unless local.

I MAY CONSIDER TRADES........but please keep in mind this is an US BUILT guitar and was around 800 new. I am not looking for a Mexican or Korean guitar. I LOVE Japan Fender and higher end Ibanez. Amercian made is welcome as well. I can add a little cash if needed depending on trade. Make me an offer....you never know. I can tell you upfront 375 shipped is a no go for the condition of the bass. (I also have some GAS for GK Neo cabs)

Thanks. SEE BELOW POST FOR SOUND CLIP INFO.

Apparently he is fine. Even though the van was pretty messed up he said he was able to drive it back home. He was calling and emailing me apologizing up and down though. I told him no worries.

BTW if you want hear that the bass works I put a sound clip up called bass practice on www.tellhazelrun.com, it is running through a Line6 guitar port pretty flat with no eq. Not the best recording. I was just working on some speed exercises.

I don't think the old photos did this bass justice, updated pics.

Thanks

I am seriously thinking about keeping this now becasue of being a US built bass and had a limited production in 10 years it'll probably be worth double.

I will give it one more day.

Problem is a just bought an Ampeg Dan Armstrong solid body that was made in Japan today and was hoping to fund it with this. I don't understand the stigma with these basses. I owned a 2005 limited edition buttercream 4 string Music Man and as far as tonality is concerned they sound almost the same.

I think I am just going to throw a Union Jack or Tort pickguard on it and keep it unless I got a buyer in the next 24 hours.

These aren't like the Squire line or anything by Fender built in Indonesia. These are USA made basses. Probably basses that had some odd markings in the wood so they painted them solid instead. To me it sounds great for rock and slapping with the active electronics. I was going to tune it down to probably dropped C for a heavy project I was going to that fizzled before it even started that why I wanted the active EQ.

I actually used it for BOTH recordings on my Myspace page because it sounded better "out of the box" for recording than trying to tweak my Fender Jazz bass for it, but my Jazz is still my favortite for live applications.

I concur, keep the SUB. Great bass, never have to worry about swirling paint, sounds great......limited production run.

What's not to like?

I have one of these in Burgandy (U.S. Made SUB). I even considered buying this one to pair up with my other until I looked at my checkbook. Anyway, SAME build quality, feel, playability as a regular Ray. I'm not even exactly sure of the differences between this and a regular Ray besides finish options???? Bump for a GREAT deal!

I have always like Japanese Fenders. Their remakes of the 60 jazz basses are my absolute favorite. I just want a P-Bass.
