If those pickups are the same EMGs I had, I've seriously been hunting them down recently as they sounded really smooth and fat.
I only see 3 knobs. How does the Bass/Treble work?

This is my second Jazz ESP and the first one I had made me sell my Fender Custom Shop Jazz because it played and sounded better. Broken in. Just right.

How did you establish this J is from early 80's? I haven't found any date markings on my bass, so I have no idea when it's made as I bought it used. (On my bass the serial # is lower, in the 3000's)
