ESP B-1005 fretless

I'm trying to get my life down to a single bass and my Stambaugh is the one I'm keeping.

I picked this one up on eBay about a month ago as a backup to my Stambaugh fretless and I've been really impressed with it. The fretless conversion (ESP doesn't offer a stock fretless version) was professionally done and it looks great and plays wonderfully.

The details:

- Neck-Thru-Body Construction
- 34" Scale
- Mahogany Body
- Flamed Maple Top
- Finish: NS (Natural Satin)
- 5 Pc Maple/Walnut Neck
- Ebony Fingerboard
- 47mm Standard Nut
- Extra Thin U Neck Contour
- 24 "frets"
- Black Hipshot Hardware
- Hipshot "A" Style Bridge w/ String-Thru-Body
- Bridge: EMG 40-TW
- Neck: 40P-5
- EMG B64 3-Band Active EQ
- Bass Boost/Cut
- Volume w/Push-Pull Coil Tap (Bridge p.u.)
- Mid Boost/Cut
- Treble Boost/Cut
- Balance

I've got it set up and dialed in with a set of DR Sunbeams and it has a great midrange growl and plenty of mwah. I particularly like that you can split the coil on the bridge pickup, the net effect being you get the tone palette of a PJ configuration in a 5-string.

Attached is the stock photo from ESP and a cell phone pic of the actual bass (Nordy VJ5 not included, though it is for sale). I'll have better pictures of the actual bass up as soon as possible.

Asking $650 shipped in a gig bag. For reference, a new one (without the $250 fretless conversion) goes for $1029 at Musicians Friend.

Bump for a fellow Nordy Player!

These two look nice side by side. Big brother little brother kind of thing.

Thanks for the bump! New close up pics can be found here.

A couple of notes:
- The first picture shows a ding in the body I hadn't noticed before.
- The homemade ramp I put between the pickups is held on with a tiny bit of double-stick tape and can easily be removed.
- The picture of the headstock shows it without the truss rod cover as I was doing a slight bit of adjustment to the truss rod. The cover is included.

- thanks!

Bump. Trades welcome. Particularly interested in P/J bodies and P-bass parts in general except for necks.

- thanks
