Putting this one up too. Sorry for sale only now. Put a sweet Carvin on hold.
I got this on a trade a few months ago. I literally jumped at the chance to pick this up since I always wanted to try it and the TA-500 was the only one with just the pentagrams on the 12th fret. Very nice playable bass. Very light (I'll try to weigh).
Bass is in very good condition. There are some surface finish scratches on the upper horn in the back (belt?). There is some oxidation on some of the screws (not sure why). The finish otherwise is perfect and very glossy. Really sweet looking bass.
They don't make the TA-500 anymore, I think it was the first run on the LTD TA model. Now they have the TA-200 and TA-600. This one is neck through, with EMG-Hz pups and a 3 band EQ. I can get a lot of playable tone out of this. But alas, I don't play it much. As I mention in my other listing....I'm in NO position to have a wall hanger at the moment. I've happy to have actually owned one of these, but have my eye on a sweet bass here on the classified.
I know there is not much market here for TA basses but thought I'd put it up.
I can't find many of these for sale (one in CA for $750 but that is way too much). Let's say $500 shipped (poss more to the west coast - shipping is too damn much these days). Includes original signature HSC.
Found the following specs for it:
Neck-Thru-Body Construction
35” Scale
Alder Body
Maple Neck
Rosewood Fingerboard
Pentagram Inlays
40mm Standard Nut
Thin U Neck Contour
24 XJ Frets
Black Nickel Hardware
Grover Tuners
EMG 35-HZ (Passive Pick Ups)
Electronics - Volume, pan, EMG B64 Active EQ

Sorry, but I'm not longer in the market for trades. Sale only, willing to negotiate for TBers. Thanks!
