Bought this from a fellow TBer and it has been around the block. Was just wanting to try out some cheaper Pbasses to try to get into Pbasses. Wasn't expecting much from this but have read a lot of the hype surrounding the SX basses so went with it anyway.
Boy was I pleasantly surprised. This bass plays great, far surpassed my expectations. Neck feels great like a finished neck should. The body is a bit beat up but nothing major. and black makes it look worse. ( One of the reasons I am not a huge black instrument fan.) The neck is very clean. I put an Ibanez P pickup from my SRP400 ( that is also for sale) and it sounds great. Currently not strung, but have a set of roto's I could throw on it for you, or ship it with the neck off of the body.
The truth is I just have to accept I am a Jazz bass guy and should give up trying to like a P. I love them in the hands of others, great sound, just not my thing.
Interested trades: Jazz style basses and Laklands ( Can add cash on my end. Especially if you want both P basses.)
