For sale is a really light weight SX P-bass. I haven't had it long because I'm just a jazz bass kinda guy I guess. $120 + shipping
The Good:
*Really nice sounding P-bass. I haven't owned many but I was really impressed by the way this thing sounds. I had a set of LaBellas on it and had a very Jamerson type tone.
*Bass cavity, pickup cavity, and pickguard come fully shielded.
*Neck is in mint condition and plays smooth
*SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT comes in at 7.5 pounds on my bathroom scale
*Intonates well
*Has a really nice sunburst finish but the back has more of a red-ish tint. Never really seen that on Fender style basses but I kinda like it.
*Thought the white pickup covers were a nice touch
The Bad:
*Comes a little beat up as there's some scratches on the back and near the neck pocket that I tried to photograph and a little chuck taken out of the finish on the back as well.
*I also had to borrow a few tuner screws from it so in the picture of the back of the neck a few screws are missing but if it's a deal breaker I can get some screws.
*There's some sort of swirling or impression on the pickguard that I tried to also get a picture of but it's hard to get in the right light for the camera. It's not noticeable from far but up close you can see it.
In order to give a full disclosure I purchased this from a fellow TB'er who unless I mistook the ad claimed it was an SX but the neck plate isn't stamped SX so body might or might not be SX brand. It doesn't have any sort of stamp or anything in the neck pocket. I don't know enough about them to be able to tell. Selling as is.
