Essex used SX old headstock style 5 string bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is a used 5 string SX "P" bass I bought just to satisfy my "SX itch." Great sounding bass for the price, it just isn't going to get any rotation time with my Dingwall.

The Good:

Previous owner installed an actual Fender Precision five string pickup.
LPB color is beautiful, good condition.
Action is nice and low, very playable after some tweaking.
Brand new DR coated Silver Star strings just installed.

The Bad:

Previous owner did not bother to replace the pickguard.
Dent on the back of the body, approx. 5 mm.

Asking 150.00 including shipping in the CONUS. No case, but have original shipping carton. Paypal preferred, thanks for looking.

Looks like it, but with SX you never know, they could be pretty plastic.

This is from their website, but I can verify tonight. The strings are pretty heavy gage too.

"Width of the neck at the nut: 1 3/4" and 2 11/16" at the 21st fret. String spacing at the nut is 3/8" and 5/8" at the 20th fret"

interested....have you verified the spacing at the bridge? can you measure B to G for me across the bridge?

For some odd reason, I'm gasing for a P-style....

Width at the nut is 45.30 mm. String spacing at the nut is 9.50 mm.

String spacing at the bridge is just under 17mm.

Bump for lower price. Lets find this one a new home!
