Well, I started a thread over in the amps/cabs for sale forum discussing how I need to face the reality of space constraints (and spousal consent! ) and make some room in my basement. While most of the space is taken up by cabs, etc., I do have some basses that I don't really want to - but probably should - let go.
Granted, I am a fickle man, who is prone to gear hording, so I a reserve the right to change my mind on any of this. But, FWIW, I am thinking about selling the following instruments: Brian Moore i4 - sold! DeArmond Pilot 5 Deluxe (w/ upgraded electronics) - on hold Lakland Skyline Hollybody (fretless) - $975 Peavey T-40 - sold! Trace Elliot T-Bass (with Nordstrand pickups and OBP-3) - sold!
Tom.

The T-40 has has the phase switch intentionally disabled, and is also in humbucker mode only (also intentional). It also has a little gouge out of the fingerboard under the E-string near the end of the board (you can barely see it in the photos).
I can provide more detailed photos and comments about any of these basses if anyone desires.

About the Tobias: what's that oversized control knob do? And did Mike do those inlays at the 12th fret or are they aftermarket?

Joe | That bass is all original. Mike built it for one of his employees, Obe, and it has features not seen on any other Tobias (at least none that I am aware of). The stacked knob is, I believe, bass boost/cut and a passive tone control. I'll have to double check though.

Likely the most underrated Jazz style bass out there. I have owned two, and they are efforless in their playability. I mean they were made by Status!!!! |
