F/S 1980 Peavey T-40 Sienna 'Burst/Rosewood Board! Rare

Hello All, ****SOLD****SOLD****SOLD***

So I picked this bass up a few months ago and was going to fix her up but I have no time...everything works on this, from the electronics to the truss rod.

The bass is a beautiful caramel, Sienna sunburst finish...really quite nice. This one has a Rosewood Fingerboard, and from what I read from the posts here on TB, this is a bit of a rarity, as the majority of T-40's come with maple 'boards. The bass has some dings and dents here and there, but its still a looker.

The fingerboard is in great shape as well as the frets.

There are two very small holes drilled into the middle of the rear, and a weird mark on the headstock...(I swear if I didn't know better, I'd say this bass was mounted to someone's wall at some point..but I digress)

I strung it up and adjusted the action/truss...all works fine.

When I bought the bass, I noticed that you couldn't combine the pickups with the pickup selector switch...it would only work with the neck pickup solo'ed or the bridge pickup solo'ed. When I opened her up I found the problem...some entrepreneur soldered in a two way switch, rather than a three way for the pickup selector. All you have to do is get yourself a three way selector switch and you are in business. (a DPDT on-on-on switch)

I started to take out the switches ( I was going to replace the pickup selector switch and the phase 2 way switch, since I was already in there) but lost interest/time in the project.

Also, the bass is missing one of the knobs and does not come with a case, but it will be packed carefully for shipping..I always do

I'm going to ask for 275.00 shipped but by all means if this seems like too much, shoot me a PM and tell me I'm crazy. A switch and some solder should run you only a few bucks, and you can have yourself sweet bass for just a little money!
