Feb 5: deal fell through, it's back on the market!
Here's a classic for you OneKay fans. I've had this bass since 1982 and it's not seeing any action lately, so it's time to find it a loving home. $950 shipped in original case I received with it with in '82.
Serial number on bridge places it at early 1981. The pickup is 1980 style with hex pole adjusters, not the slotted type. All hardware is chrome. Frets in very good condition (original). The bass is an L1000 but as you'll see in the photos, the headstock says L2000. Not sure why that is. Nut width is approximately 1 & 5/8 inches. Weight is about 9.5 lbs.
The only modification is the addition by Mike Lull's shop of a Bartolini pre-amp & push/pull volume pot to switch from passive to active. All other components original. Great modern sound on active (great for slapping, etc), classic passive tone and function with an upward pull on the volume knob. Original passive mode and 3 way switch functions were not altered by addition of preamp. Preamp could be removed to restore to original passive-only mode. I've installed new knobs but originals will be included (one knob is missing some chrome on the top). 2 band EQ. Back of body has some nicks, one is large but does not show from front (see photo). Back also has slight orange stain. Great condition for a 30 year old.
Only trade I'd be interested in is a Berg AE212 cabinet.
