For, very reluctant, sale. A beautifully restored, Yamaha BB-800. This instrument is, in my opinion, a piece of functional art. The body and neck have been brilliantly restored by Pat Wilkins. The body, in Sherwood Green, the neck, vintage satin tint on the back and high gloss on the front of the headstock. The bass is in excellent shape and plays flawlessly, with a beautiful P-bass killing, punchy tone. Hardware was also restored to beautiful condition. Currently strung with Elixir strings. Original electronics are in perfect working order. The reverse P pickup is wonderfully deep but not boomy. I got this in trade with a fellow talkbass member and these are his lovely pictures. The bass is as he sent it to me. Weight is 9lbs 7oz. P bass width maple neck. Not too chunky. Rosewood fretboard. Car trouble is forcing me to do this. I am taking a big loss on this. The setup on this is wonderfully low and even. The setup has remained stable. The bass came from Colorado with IMO a perfect setup. Traveled across the country to the east coast and it has not changed!
