F/S- 2 Awesome SUB "Rays"

Sign in to disble this ad
After fighting with myself over this I have finally decided to sell my two SUBs. They are both awesome basses I have as of lately been loving my Ray34 with the 3 band EQ, and am needing the cash to buy me another used 3 band US made Ray. At any rate here they are.....

*SOLD*-Black SUB 4 string, active 2 band EQ. This bass is in excellent condition. Sounds amazing, and has a sweet setup. Asking $375.00 shipped US, Paypal.

***Sold - pending payment***White SUB 4 string, Passive 2 band. I renfinished this bass a while back because the finish was pretty ugly. Awesome playing bass and looks really good. This thing cops the look and feel of a classic ray. Set up is sweet and it sounds and plays really well. Asking $400.00 shipped US, Paypal.

Did you put a musicman decal on the white one? Any idea what the weight is? Pro refin or home refin?

Do you have any additional pics of the white one? I'll PM my email address.

Thanks!

I did the refin in the lab at my job, (Automotive finishes, coatings R&D lab). So I guess it could be considered a "pro refin", however I am not a luthier by any means. But it is a good quality class A automotive finish. I can take more pics if needed. The decal came from one of those Ebay stores. As far as the weight I am not sure, but I can put it on the scale tonight after band practice.

I'm not calling dibs, so keep it in play while I'm considering it. Pretty good deal. Should go quickly.

The white one is nice, vintage look and sound without the high price. What kind of finish did you put on the back of the neck?

It is a high solids urethane clear. Originally I was thinking of making it a satin finish but, I decided to go with a vintage feel and gloss it up.

Do you still have the active electronics for the white one? How is it wired?

The white one came from the factory passive. It still has a 2 band eq, but I believe that it cuts instead of boosts. Kind of has a sound of its own really.

Weights......

For those who asked, I put the basses on the scale and they both weigh in at 9.4 lbs each.

Can you describe the difference in sound between the passive and active? Thanks.
