F/S 2000 Fodera - Emperor 5 String - Bolt-On

Sign in to disble this ad
Most of you realize that Fodera Basses are in extrememly high demand and low supply. New orders typically take 2 to 3 years or more!

Once in Miko’s stable….up for sale is a 2000 Emperor - 5 String. Anyone who has ever played this bass calls it…“one of the best Fodera’s they’ve ever played”!!!

She is a phenomenal playing and sounding bass that can cop any style. She can go from an incredible Marcus slap, to an all out Jaco burp, to a dark thick Jamerson sound. She has a very articulate B string and when I say this instrument cuts through any mix I’m serious…..it’s as punchy as it gets.

The neck is straight as an arrow, incredibly stable and has very low action with no buzz all the up the fingerboard.

The Birdseye Maple board with Pearl Block Inlays is absolutely stunning.

The AAAAA Quilted Maple Top is as good as it gets.

Cosmetically the bass is in excellent condition. Other than some very minor surface swirl that you can only see by holding the instrument in certain light the bass looks truly amazing.

SO HERE’S WHAT YOU’D BE GETTING:

Emperor Bolt-On 5
Production Date: May 15, 2000
S/N: E51712B
AAAAA Quilted Maple Top
Ash body
3 pc Maple Neck
Birdseye Maple fingerboard with Pearl Block Inlays
Seymour Duncan single-coil pickups (70’s position)
Chrome Hardware
White Pearloid Pickguard
Mike Pope Preamp
34" scale
Weight 11.10 pounds

So if the bass is so good why am I selling it? Because I have a bad back and at 11.10 pounds gigging with it just destroys me. Rather than have it just sit in my studio I’d rather have someone gig with it, enjoy it and make great use of it.

Why wait 3 years for a Fodera when you can own this incredible 5 string right now! A bass that’s already broken in and plays like a dream. A bass that has only gone up in value and should continue to go up in value in the future. $5,600 and it’s yours.

I realize this is a big purchase for anyone so I want you to feel comfortable with who you’d be buying the bass from. Please check my feedback here on Talkbass. I have 9 transactions (of which I was the seller for 8 of them) with 100% positive feedback. I also have 46 transactions on e-Bay…again with 100% positive feedback. If you’d like, please check out the positive comments there as well. I’m funkybassdude on e-bay. Hope this helps.

I’d prefer a local sale so you can actually see and play this amazing instrument for yourself but I’m willing to ship anywhere in the continental US.

I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY TRADES SO PLEASE DON’T ASK.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. You can either PM me or contact me directly at my e-mail address: neildamato@gmail.com

Thanks.
Neil

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a Fodera like that one. I'm all about their natural finishes, but this has a really kickin' vibe. Wish I had the cash BUMP!
