I have for sell a my
2005 American Standard Jazz Bass in three tone Sunburst, a Maple Neck with a
Rosewood Fretboard. The body is a
beautifully matched 2- piece Alder. I am the original owner and it has been my No. 1 since I've had it. There are no dings or scratches in the wood (no Road Worn Bass here

) only some surface scatches. It sports with a
Fender Original 62 RI Tortoise Pickguard. This PG color looks great on this bass. If you perfer a American Standard Tort PG, I have a spare and I will gladly change it out for you, if that's what you perfer. The
bass cavities are completely shielded!
It comes with
Sadowsky Single Coil Pickups. This bass has had, Fralin SC's, Fender 62RI's SC's, Nordstrand NJ4SE's and NJ4SV's. All great pickups and all sounded good, but I was not satified. The Sadowsky SC's hit a home run with me in this bass. The bass has a great midrange punch, very good lows that are not boomy and smooth highs that's not too trebly. It is currently strung w/
Sadowsky Blue Label Bright Nickels.
This bass has
my favorite neck for playability and feel for me!.
The neck will play flat w/o buzzing up and down the neck, if you like a flat neck and play with a light touch. The Fingerboard has smooth rolled edges and no fret sprouts. There are
no neck issues what so ever with this neck.
She weighs 9.8 Lbs. It's not a light weight, but certainly not a Jazz Bass heavy weight either. The past year, a chronic baseball shoulder / neck injury from playing baseball has only gotten worse and even my 8.4 Lb Jazz causes pain and numbness in my left shoulder at times. Getting older has been a pain...literally. If it were not for my shoulder / neck issues, this would not be the bass I would be selling!
It orginally had the S1 Switch which was replaced w/ a Audere 2-band Preamp. With the sadowsky SC's, I found myself playing the bass w/ the preamp set flat most of the tiime, so I decided to replaced the Audere Pre w/ a
Standard wired Jazz Vol-Vol-Tone Control Plate w/ CTS Pots, Vintage wiring and a 0.047 Sprague Capacitor.
It comes with a
Black Fender (G&G) Hardshell Case in very good condition inside and out. The only issue with the case is the two outer latches springs do not work. The latches will latch closed and open w/o any problem, they just don't spring open when you open them. It comes with most of the case candy that I got when I bought the bass new.
The bass has
Straplocks and I will supply a very nice
Levi Leather Strap that has the Straplock mates. Price set at $785 Shipped per FedEx and Insured, CONUS ONLY, PayPal or Money Order.
With the Money Order, it will need to clear, before I can shipped.
SOLD! Please no trades with this Bass!
