F/S: Conklin GT-7 - Excellent Cond

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a nice Conklin GT-7 in like new condition. Very little playing time on this - just used it at home as a guitar to compose. The sound has a lot of punch and a meaty slap sound too (once you learn how to hit the same string that you are fretting! . I wasn't planning on selling any of my basses, but I need to raise $$ for my business. I was picky when I bought this bass. I think it's one of the better looking ones. The actual color is closest to the 3rd picture (the close-up of the front). I'm asking $685 + sh. SOLD

Sound Clip

Here's a clip of Will Karling playing a GT-7
Not many B strings sound that good/balanced when slapped.

Just played one today (for the first time) sat VERY well in a band mix - through my sterile digital amp.

I really miss my GT-7. I just wish it were a 35" scale or even a fanned 35"-32".

Quality instruments and great tone. Bumpity.

You use metal strings
Musicians Friend has:
Dean Markley Sr 2000 7
D Addario EXL 170 8
Also, Ken Smith, Conklin, and Warrior sells them.

Nice, so the strings aren't that expensive.

+1

This would be gone yesterday if it were fanned 35-32.
