I just got this one and its a great bass though not entirely my thing. We haven't had much bonding time but maybe thats a good thing! I'm leaving for California July 6th for a month and living off my already paltry savings. I figure that getting rid of this one will help me out a little bit since I already have a ton of basses.
Not many people have heard of Cort, but they're a large instrument manufacturer in korea. They made the Korean Lakland Skylines and make stuff for a host of other companies.
This bass has Hipshot ultralight tuners, and seymour duncan pickups. I don't know who makes the bridge but its nice (maybe Gotoh?) The preamp is Duncan Designed. The neutrik locking jack is a nice touch as well.
The bass has super low action and the neck is nice and straight. Everything works as it should. Fresh strings on it too. Guitar looks to be in really good shape though there is a minor finish crack by the neck pocket (probably got over tightened at some point)
Spalt maple top, matching headstock veneer. The bass has real blocks and binding. Total stunner. Its also really lightweight.
The bass is a slap machine. Its a little too modern for my tastes with the preamp. Honestly thats the only fault I can find with it and thats just my personal taste. I'm also a mostly fingerstyle player (this sounds awesome with a pick) and even though I don't like the preamp I still have a good handful of tones I like with it.
No pictures yet until I get my damn camera cable back. Stock pictures for now!
