EDWARDS (ESP) E-110B 4 STRING BASS

Times are tough, so I'm sellin' some stuff.

FLAWLESS!!! ***REDUCED - $650.00*** Shipped to Continental U.S. / Canada

This is an EDWARDS, MADE BY ESP with the same standards and care as the higher end ESP guitars and basses.

PLEASE, DO NOT confuse this with ESP's less expensive LTD line; the EDWARDS line is custom shop quality.
This is the E-BT-110B-SB, the SB is for “Satin Blue” available only to the Japanese market. The specs are as follows:

BODY: Ash
NECK : Hard Maple & Walnut - 9 Piece
FINGERBOARD : Ebony , 24frets
SCALE : 34 inch
JOINT : Neck-Thru-Body
PICKUPS : Front - Seymour Duncan SJB-3n
Rear - Seymour Duncan SJB-3b
CONTROLS : Front Volume , Rear Volume, Master Tone , Dual Mode Switch
BRIDGE : Custom Bass Bridge

The ebony fretboard is exquisitely crafted, lean and fast. It displays offset abalone dot inlays with smaller mother-of-pearl dots inside the abalone. The dual mode switch pushes in and out, which allows you to choose to run the pickups in parallel or in series / customized settings. As you can see from the photos, the bass is gorgeous. The body resembles an ESP horizon; it has a scalloped lower cut-away for EASY access to the 24th fret, fantastic balance when standing or sitting and flat-out awesome tone. There is not a single blemish or any sign of use – IT IS MINT!

I purchased this bass directly from a Japanese dealer - You get an "AS NEW" bass without paying for shipping, customs fees, top of the line IBANEZ case (which fits the bass much better than the ESP case) a full professional setup and DR HighBeam strings. I have $1400 invested, but unfortunatley for me, and it really is a shame, very few Americans know about the EDWARDS line, not to mention the quality and craftsmanship of these instruments. I became aware of Edwards when my guitarist bought an Edwards Les Paul and I was blown away - simply gorgeous and perfect in every way; I bought this bass 3 weeks later - 3 weeks after that, I found myself playing 5's all the time, so this guy is like brand new. Anyway, the EDWARDS E-FR-120B, which took the place of this bass, and which I don’t like nearly as much, currently goes for $1200 without a case.

I'm only selling because I'm playing 5-ers in my current project, but I kept this one until now because it's the best, most comfortable 4 I've ever owned. If this were a 5 string, there is NO WAY I'd let it go.

I prefer payment to be made via PayPal.

Thanks for looking.

What is the tone like? Also the pups don't look like the normal quarter pounders.

I've played with the EQ and have been able to achieve an expansive variety of tones.

As far as the PU's go,
Front - Seymour Duncan SJB-3n; Rear - Seymour Duncan SJB-3b

These are the stock SD's that came with the bass and I have found them to be excellent and responsive especially for a passive system. I got big "punchy" lows and very warm yet clear mid's and highs out of her. I do a fair amount of chording and tapping above the 12th fret and found the clarity to be excellent without any hint of becoming "shrill". Specifically, I've been able to achieve "my" tone (which is very similar to Eddie Jackson's - Queensryche - ballzy yet Hi-Fi) and on the other end of the spectrum, I nailed early Gene Simmon's "growling" tone. Access to the upper frets is fantastic. Like I said in the OP, if she were a 5-er, I'd never let her go.

Thanks for looking,

Mac
