I have here a beautiful example of a Jazz bass...in one of my favorite color and pickguard combo's.
This is a USA made Fender Jazz bass in Olympic White with a Tort pickguard. I recently picked this up on trade, and she is a beauty. No dings, dents or any other issues. Pickguard has some swirly honest player wear, but just the normal type...also has one of the nicer Rosewood boards I have seen on Fenders. I will offer it for sale or trades, just in the interest in seeing what the market holds.
Bass weighs in at 9 lbs. 2 oz. Fender High mass Bridge, rolled neck, lightweight tuners, string through body option...all the goodies that Fender puts on their American model ...sets up really nice.
I'm really more of an active bass guy...before I toss a preamp in this one I figured I would spin it around the boards...
2008 seems to be a year when Fender started putting out quality and consistency on a steady basis. This bass is meat and potatoes...no flash, just classic Fender.
I never realized what a pain in the butt it is to photograph this color. In person, the bass has this creamy white, classic aged look abut it, but I fear my limited photo skills don't bring that across.
Anyway, if you are in the market for a Jazz bass, and you want supreme quality and don't want to spend full price on a Jazz, this is your bass!
