Neat bass! I had an active Musician from around that time, but it seemed that it was a bit "wider" than yours....the body shapes seemed different. Fantastic bass, I was a fool to sell it...

This is a great bass (I know, I own one exactly the same as this)!

Do you happen to know why they call it a "BEAN" bass? I've been trying to find out for years.

I've always been led to believe that it's due to the "bean" shaped body.

I had not heard that.

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread. This is a great bass, and I hope someone picks it up.

Very nice. Those are the more desirable PU's on a Musician - more so than the bakelite ones. IMO anyway.

Great bridge and tuners too. High quality all around.

I'm not a slapper myself but for anyone out there who is, the beans are ergonomically very well suited to the task.

Strap it on, wear it up high like Mark King if you like, without having a big bass body to contend with. You can really get your right arm around one of these very nicely.
