Looking to Sell or trade a Carruthers 5 string bass I recently acquired. It plays and sounds great but I can't adjust to the wide 5 spacing. It's a beautiful quilted maple top, thin and flat neck, with an 18 volt emg system In it. Soapbar in the bridge position and jazz pickup in the neck position. Bass has belt buckle rash and play wear Including a spot on the face where the finish has been worn away. comes with a beat up HSC Open to trade ideas so let me know what you got. $800 shipped in conus

Very exceptional bass. The Baby Blue P Bass in my Avatar is a John Carruthers custom. I can't believe these people on TB don't know about John Carruthers in Venice, CA. A master luthier of 30 years or better. All of his guitars are in credible. If I had the cash, I would buy this bass from you.

for anyone interested, Carruthers' Venice facility has closed down and JC has relocated to Camarillo, Ca,, about 55 miles north of Venice.

What is the spacing?

3/4 inch from center to center so that's 19mm I believe.

Does the bridge hang over the edge of the body or is it just the angle of the pic?
