So this guy is number 5 on the depth charts and although it's an amazing bass, I just don't play it.
Pros:
Fender made in Japan Precision Bass Lyte in Brown Sunburst with a matched painted headstock. Alder body, maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The neck joint is heeled so that it's comfortable when accessing the lower frets. The gold plated hardware has lost some of its gold plating, making it look pretty awesome.
It's called the "lyte" because it is extremely (you guessed it) lightweight.
I replaced the God AWFUL factory electronics. The neck pick up is a Seymour Duncan Basslines Quarter Pounder. In the bridge is a Dimarzio Ultrajazz (noiseless) pick up. The preamp was replaced with the Aguilar OBP-1. I also replaced the nasty knobs with gold dome with a pearloid inlay (I think they were Q-Parts)?
Included is a Warwick Rockbag gig bag that is in really really good shape.
Cons:
This bass is from 1989, but shows extremely minimal fret wear. There are a few dings including one really nice one at the bottom of the bass by the strap button. It's through to the wood. Other basses I've seen on Ebay like this are in way worse condition though.
The pick up pan knob is wired in reverse, in other words if you roll the knob forward, you're selecting the bridge pick up.
The output jack needs to be replaced (a new one will be included with the bass).
I'm looking for $400 for this.
The only bass I will take in trade is an Epiphone Allen Woody bass (with the hardshell case).
PM me for more pictures, as I have plenty and could always take more.
